Here is a better video showing the Arduino and RFID reading the tags under the car. Which is just a number that gets passed on to Unity which then loads that number’s corresponding asset. In this case, the yellow or red car. 

My next step is to make the cars swap out mid race. So if the player flips the first car over or crashes it, they can scan another car in and continue the race.

This could be fun if the cars have weapons a la Mario Kart and the more cars, trucks, tanks you collect, the more chances you have at surviving the race.
